Users Module Quick Guide

Current Users

The Users tab lists the active accounts in your system. It will list the employee’s name, User Name and email address.  To view their user account, click the View/Edit button. If you need to remove an employee’s access, click the Delete button. A Super User cannot have their access edited except by OrderPort staff.

Deleted Users

This tab shows a list of users accounts that are no longer active.   If you need to turn an account back on, click on the Restore button.

While an account is deleted it cannot be used to log into the point of sale or admin.

Creating a User

Click the Add User button to create a new user account.  Fill in each information field, then designate them as a clerk or Manager.   You can also enable Active Order Unlock on their account if necessary.  Click the Save button when done.

The User Name and Password will be what they use to log into your point of sale or admin page.   Their PIN will enable them to complete orders on the point of sale.

Granting Access

A manager a decide which modules and tools an employee has access to.  On the Access tab, check each module the employee will need access to.  You can also check which role they will perform.

No View means they cannot go into a module.

View Only means that they can view information in a module but can’t make edits or change settings.

Edit access allows them to make changes to settings as well as update accounts and edit orders.

Click Save when this is complete.

Time Card

The Time Card tab is where you can enter in employee hours as well as view passed hours worked.  You can search a specific day to make sure all hours are accounted for.

Employees can also track their time from the point of sale app.

Preferences

The Preferences tab allows a user to choose which OrderPort interface they want to use.  This tab also lets a user choose which page they want to land on when opening the Reports module.

Click Save if you make a change.
