WorldPay Transaction Query
What is the Transaction Query?
The Transaction Query gives you a way to research payments and get payment information without the IQ Portal. It can be used to research open carts on the Point of Sale or quickly see if a transaction settled without using the IQ Portal.
Where can I find the Transaction Query?
The WorldPay Transaction Query is found in the Payment Processing module under the Payment Accounts tab. There’s a Transaction Query for Card Present and not Present.
How do I use the Transaction Query?
You can search by Transaction ID, Reference Number, approval number, and Amount.
- The transaction ID is a 12-digit number
- Example: 000000078378
- A reference number is the Order Number or The Point of sale Cart ID.
- Example: 1050 or 2022120800017
- The Approval number is the authorization code also known as the Auth Code
- Example: 519285
- The amount is the total credit card payment that was made on the order.
- Example: $0.55
How do I find the Transaction and Cart IDs?
For orders still on the Point of Sale, the Cart ID will be found by tapping and holding on the Order from the manage Screen.
In order to find the Transaction ID you will need to take the POS Cart ID and search for the order through the customer service module. The customer service module is located under the Operations tab. Enter the Cart ID into the “POS Cart ID” field. Then click on the text that populates at the bottom of the page saying “Click here to see the event history”
You will see a section called Save Payment in OrderPort followed by a long section of text. Here you will a number labeled Transaction ID
How do I find the Approval Number and Amount?
To find the approval number you will need to pull up the order in the customer service module. From there Look under the payment tab for the Auth code. This code is the Approval number. The Amount will be listed right above this next to the Credit card or Card On file section.
What information can I get from the Transaction Query?
Transaction Query shows you most of the information that would be on a transaction receipt. For example, see the screenshot below:
