Reading the Master Sales Report

What is the Master Sales

This Report gives you a breakdown of all Sales by Customer Type, Product Type, Order Source, and Sales Rep. This Report can be used alongside the business summary to compare datasets.

How to Read the Master Sales

The Master Sales Report is broken down into 5 main sections. Total Sales by Customer Type, Total Sales by product type, Total Sales by Order Source, Total Sales by Sales Rep, and Grand Total.

 

Each Section is broken down by Order Number and is Filtered by a Gray bar for each Category. For example, the section below shows all Sales for the A. Woodinville Tasting Room, broken down by Consumer Orders Only. A picture containing text, screenshot, number, font

The Gray bar at the bottom of each section shows the Totals.

 

Understanding the Total Sales by Customer Type section and Terminology

This Section is filtered by Location and Customer Class Type. This does not break the information down by each individual Customer Class.

 

Under each Location and Customer Type, there are Two Tables. The First breaks down each Order. The Second Breaks down the total payments for each payment method.

At the bottom of the page, there is a green line labeled Total Revenues by Location. This breaks down the total payments based on Payment type per each location with sales.

Understanding the Total Sales by Product Type section and Terminology

This section shows you the total sales by product and if you choose a location. At the Top of the section, there is the option to group by location. This allows you to see which locations sold which products. However, if you just want to see the products sold, simply uncheck this box.

There will be gray lines dividing your product sales by their product type. In each section, you will see the name of the product, the Qty sold, and a breakdown of how much it was sold for.

There will also be a Totals category at the bottom showing you shipping costs, Sales tax, Revue, Tips, Refunds, and the cost of all products sold of this product type. 

The green line at the bottom shows you the overall summary of all product types. 

 

 

Understanding the Total Sales by Order Source section and Terminology

This section shows you where your sales came from. This does mean that it breaks the Point of Sales down by each location. It also shows you Wine Club, Admin Cart, and Webstore Orders.

At the bottom of the page, there is a green line labeled Total Revenues by Order Source. This breaks down the totals by order Source and Product Type.

Understanding the Total Sales by Sales Rep section and Terminology

This Section breaks down all the sales made by each User. It shows you which orders they checkout out and the tips each of them received. The report is also broken down by the customer class of customer.

At the bottom of the page, there is a green line labeled Total Revenues by Sales Rep. This shows you the overall totals for each Sales Rep.

Grand Total

This Section breaks the total sales by location as well as provides a summary of all sales in the selected time period.
