Notifications Guide

What are notifications?

Notifications are all of the pre-made emails that OrderPort auto-sends. This includes emails sent to the winery and the customers.

Notifications

The Notifications tab is where you can view and edit your existing notifications. There are almost 50 provided notifications so the search feature in the top right-hand corner is very useful. For this example, we are going to be looking at the ThankYouForOrderEmail.

In the search bar look up thank you. This will pull all notifications that have the word thank you in their title. Select Edit on this notification.

Once you have the notification open you will see some basic information about the notification. You can edit the subject, Header and footer theme, Sender name, Sender email, and any attachments. You also have the option to BCC users in OrderPort and suppress this notification from specific locations.

Editing Notifications

After you have the Notification open you will see a section called body. This is a text box that is pre-set for you. If you wish to edit click and type or delete what you would like. Anything that is highlighted yellow and included in these brackets {} is a placeholder. Placeholders pull outside information into the email. So, for example this email is sent after an order is placed so the pulled-in information will be based on the order. If you want to add a new placeholder there is a button called placeholders with the text box tools. When you are finished editing you can choose to save or save & test. If you chose to send a test email keep in mind that placeholders will not pull in any information in a test email.

Themes

Themes are designs for the header and footer on your notifications. You can set up multiple header and footer designs if you want different notifications to have separate headers or footers. These are edited in the same way that notifications are. To edit an existing theme, click on the title of the theme. To add a new theme, select the new theme button.
