Reservations FAQs

Why are reservations not working on my mobile webstore?

The issue results from the wrong URL being used on the mobile site. If the URL is copied from the webstore and not the Catalog Manager, then the reservations button will not work.

The false link:

The correct way to get the link for your reservations page is through the Catalog Manager. Catalog Manager -> Groups -> View groups for: Webstore -> Reservations (View/Edit) -> Reservations URL "click here".

Now, you cannot left-click the "click here" link, and then copy the URL from that page. You will run into the same problem as before. You will have to right-click the "click here" link, and then "Copy Link Address" or you may see something like "Copy Link Location". I am running Chrome so it shows as "Copy Link Address".

You will get a link similar to this: https://reservations.orderport.net/#/login?reason=eyJjaWQiOjg4ODgxMTExLCJob3N0bmFtZSI6ImFjbWV3aW5lY2VsbGFycy5vcmRlcnBvcnQubmV0IiwidHlwZSI6InJlc2VydmF0aW9ucyJ9

Once you have this link, you can use it on your mobile site or anywhere else on your website to direct customers to the reservations system.

What kind of errors could I see?

Error

If you make reservations without table settings turned on, it uses one capacity setting, but if you are using tables that have the capacity limit (total table slots). Changing either of them mid-period will only use one or the other, not a hybrid of both.

Solution

If you turn on table settings then it will use the settings you have for table settings instead of just the max capacity and max party size.

Once turned on, table settings and table selection will work in the system as a hybrid. not allowing double bookings.
