What is the Klaviyo Integration?

Klaviyo is a marketing company that allows you to create customer email designs and send those to your clients. The OrderPort Integration will Sync the list you have created in OrderPort to Klaviyo so that you can easily contact all your OrderPort customers via email. Please Note: This is a one-way integration, so Klaviyo does not send data back to OrderPort. 


Enabling the Integration

You will need to contact helpdesk@orderport.net in order to turn on the integration. 

If you do not already have the Marketing module enabled, it may be an additional charge to your account, depending on your plan. 

The Klaviyo integration also requires you to be on our latest marketing interface. If you are not already, you will need to provide the helpdesk with a 48-hour window where you will not be using the marketing module and are ready for the upgrade. Once the Klaviyo integration is enabled, follow the setup instructions.


Setup

In Klaviyo, follow the instructions to get an API key for the integration:

Account > Settings tab > API Keys > Private API Key > Create Private API Key. 

Make sure when you setup this Key you select "Full Access". 

Next, navigate to OrderPort Admin > Operations > Marketing > Third Party and Input the Private API Key. 


Syncing your List/Contacts

The Klaviyo integration will automatically sync overnight any changes that were made that day. This means that if you are planning to create a campaign you should ensure all contacts are up to date the day before sending the campaign through Klaviyo. There is no manual Sync button. 


List In Klaviyo

If you already have a Klaviyo account or wish to create your own list, you can do so through your Klaviyo Account. They have created a customer OrderPort tag which will be automatically attached to all lists synced through OrderPort. You can Filter using this tag to see all of your synced lists. 


Updating Contacts

OrderPort and Klaviyo have a one-way integration so all updates to customer information should be done in OrderPort. If you are updating their customer information navigate to OrderPort Admin > Operations > Customers and update their account information. 

To update their email, you will need to update the billing address email. This will update the email they use to log in to their account and in all marketing lists.
