Introducing the OrderPort Webstore
Orderport’s eCommerce team aligns with your winery's brand goals in order to provide a user-friendly shopping experience for new customers and returning members alike. Depending on your eCommerce goals, you can choose from two different webstore builds and multiple storefront layouts. Orderport’s webstore allows your guests to buy wine, join clubs, and manage their account all in one place.
All wineries using Orderport eCommerce will have both a website and a webstore.
- Website: built and managed by the winery, hosted on the winery's domain
- Webstore: built and hosted by Orderport, managed by the winery through Orderport Administration. The webstore is built to match the winery's website as closely as possible.
Currently, the ability to utilize Orderport’s webstore is reliant on having a fully completed main website. This allows Orderport's web development team to seamlessly match the webstore pages with the main website design. This is the case for all Orderport webstores, regardless of whether it is a standard or hybrid build. Webstore integration is as simple as adding a few new links to your website.

Learn the webstore pages and their capabilities
The webstore has three main sections - storefront, checkout, and account management. Each section has various pages and capabilities.
On a standard webstore build, all three sections are built and hosted by Orderport.
On a hybrid webstore, the checkout and account sections are built and hosted by Orderport, while the storefront section and its pages are built by the winery and hosted externally.
Storefront pages
On the storefront pages, customers can browse the Catalog and add products to their cart. Customers navigate the storefront using the webstore group menu. The winery is responsible for creating webstore groups and assigning products to those groups in the Catalog Manager of Orderport Administration. These pages are included in standard builds. These pages allow webstore visitors to create new accounts, manage existing accounts, and sign up for your club or newsletter. After signing into their account, members can edit their shipping or billing address, update their card on file, make changes to their club release, and more. Orderport’s webstore also provides registration links for each of your individual clubs. These pages are included in standard and hybrid builds.
Cart and Checkout
- /cart
- /cart/checkout
- /terms-of-use
Orderport’s secure checkout platform allows customers to place online orders anytime, anywhere. Item quantities can be adjusted, member discounts are applied, shipping and pickup options are displayed, and your winery’s Terms of Use are linked for review. These pages are included in standard and hybrid builds.
- Orderport Payments with Stripe allows customers to use the ‘Buy Now, Pay Later’ feature during online checkout. If you’re interested in learning more about Orderport Payments, please call 206-464-1151 or email Helpdesk@Orderport.net.
- Reservations (optional)
The Orderport Reservations module is a paid feature that allows you to create and manage your winery’s reservations. It includes a module in OP Admin, a webstore page, and app functionality. The Orderport Reservations module enables customers to conveniently schedule order pickups and make tasting room reservations online and by phone. When enabled, this page is included in standard and hybrid builds. Page screenshots from Very Fine Winery, Orderport's demo webstore.

Webstore Builds
In order to determine which build is best for your winery, please reach out to Orderport's webstore specialists by emailing Helpdesk@Orderport.net.
Standard webstore
Orderport's web developers build webstore pages that match your main website design. These pages include the Storefront, Account Management, and Checkout. Each of these pages are hosted by Orderport (abcwinery.orderport.net/wines), and updates are requested to Orderport’s webstore specialists. The standard webstore provides a comprehensive and user friendly online shopping experience.
- The standard webstore is our most popular build. It is best suited for wineries who might not have their own web designer, or whose website design changes infrequently.
Hybrid webstore
The winery and their own web developer work together to build their own Storefront, hosted on the winery's main website. Orderport will continue to host the Account Management and Checkout pages, which will use the main website's branding details to provide a seamless online shopping experience.
Before beginning production, our team expects a fully completed website, all font files, a CSS stylesheet, and (if available) a branding kit.
- In the Hybrid build, your web developer is responsible for building the storefront design (in the Standard build, Orderport’s developers build the storefront for you.) Each product should have its own detail page and purchase button that links to the Orderport checkout platform.
- All product links are found in the Catalog Manager, under the product’s info & SEO tools.
Before beginning production on a hybrid store, our team expects a fully completed website, as well as all font files, a CSS stylesheet, and a branding kit (if available).
Please note: Hybrid builds and API integrations involve an increased workload for you & your web developer.
Catalog API
For $9.95 per month, you can use Orderport's Catalog API to implement the following functions:
- Web cart fine-grained integration
- Product catalog retrieval / integration
- Customer search (only searches are allowed – customer records cannot be added, updated, or deleted)
If you’re interested in using this API, please send an email to HelpDesk@Orderport.net so that production can be requested from our developers.
