Gift Card Product Creation
- Once you have the Gift Cards module enabled you will need to set up Gift Card products in the catalog manager.
-Set the Product type to Gift Card, add a Title and retail Price, and set the status to available. Make sure to Put it in a group as well.
Gift Cards
- The Gift Cards page is where you can search for existing gift cards and see their current funds and status.
-If a gift card is associated with an existing customer account the name and email will be populated.
Gift Cards Details
- To get to this screen Click on the Gift card number you wish to look at from the gift card tab.
-From here you can view all the necessary information about this gift card from the current balance and type of gift card to the last date of use.
- On this page is a status drop-down. If for some reason you need to set the Gift card to Inactive or Revoked this will stop the gift card from functioning temporarily.
History
- From this page, if you scroll to the bottom, you can see their very first Transaction where the card was purchased. The Memo field will show you the associated order Number.
- For more details, you can click on the blue details button for a breakdown of all associated transactions. For example, A refund will show you the Original Sale on the details button.
Load Funds
- From this page, you can choose to manually add additional funds to a gift card. This can also be done from the Point of Sale.
Replace
- If someone lost their Physical gift card and you wish to replace it for them. Find an unused Physical Gift Card number and enter that number on this page. That will transfer all the funds to the new card.
Card Assignments
- If you decide to sell physical instead of electronic gift cards on the webstore you will need to assign a Gift Number to that customer and then send them their card.
-This step can be done on this page in bulk or on the order in fulfillment.
-If you have a physical gift card you can enter the number into the Gift Card Number box, if not you can auto-assign the gift card numbers.
