Serial # CHB3 is not compatible with OpenEdge
Serial # CHB2A is not compatible with WorldPay.
Serial # CHB3 is not compatible with anything before OP5 5.0.17 (7) with WorldPay.
Pairing Readers Tips and Troubleshooting
- Make sure the serial number on your card reader matches what you inputted in Admin à Point Of Sale à Bluetooth Devices.
- Make sure the Status of the card reader is set to “Available” in the Admin --> Point of Sale à Bluetooth Devices.
- Make sure when pairing the reader is unplugged while pairing.
If the card reader needs to initialize, the reader must have at least 50% power.
- Charge Readers Overnight
- Check for Mispairing (Pairing though the iPad Bluetooth)
Pairing Reader Methods
Once you have registered your card reader’s serial number in OrderPort Admin, you can pair it with your iPad or iPhone. Each card reader can only be paired to one iPad/iPhone at a time.
Pairing Upon Login
1. Tap the Reader Power button. A blue flashing light will be displayed.
2. Sign in to OrderPort App. Select Yes on “Do you have a Bluetooth credit card reader?”
3. Select Yes on “Do you want to set up your Bluetooth reader now?
4. The app will now scan for nearby card readers. If the app doesn’t find your card reader on the first attempt, it’s likely because it wasn’t turned on. Turn your card reader on and touch the refresh/scan button again.
5. You should now see the serial number of your card reader appear in the list of available card readers. Select it and press Save.
Pairing From Tools and About
1. Navigate to the tools and about page. Select the edit button on the left-hand side screen.
2. The app will now scan for nearby card readers. If the app doesn’t find your card reader on the first attempt, it’s likely because it wasn’t turned on. Turn your card reader on and touch the refresh/scan button again.
3. You should now see the serial number of your card reader appear in the list of available card readers. Select it and press Save.
