What is ShipComplaint?

Sovos ShipCompliant solves beverage alcohol compliance for producers, suppliers, shippers, and government agencies through accurate, real-time, available-anywhere technology.

Activating the ShipComplain Module

After you have contacted Ship Compliant and created an account with them, you may contact helpdesk@orderport.net and request the module be enabled.

Setup

The ShipComplaint Setup may vary based on what you are using ShipCompliant for. Make sure to read each of the steps carefully to ensure proper setup. Please note you will need to do a lot of the setup on your own in your ShipCompliant, if you need assistance with this part of the setup please contact shipcompliantsupport@sovos.com or (303) 996-2356.

Getting a WebService User Setup

Once the module has been enabled navigate to your ShipComplaint Portal and login. The first thing you will need to do is create a Web Service User. These are the credentials that will be entered into OrderPort.

To Create a Webservice User please review this SOVOS ShipComplaint Guide.

After you have received these credentials please navigate to OrderPort Administration > Integrations > ShipComplaint > Settings and enter the Webservice Username and Password.

Settings

After you have entered in your WebService Username and Password you will need to set up the rest of your account in OrderPort. You will notice there are five settings options. Check whichever one you would like to enable.

Sales Order Service Enabled - This allows OrderPort to send orders to ShipCompliant for verification.

Tax Service Enabled - This is Required.

Ignore Street Level Errors - This would ignore basic address errors. Ex: ST vs Street

Reject If Address Suggested - If this is on, ShipComplaint will make complaince suggestions to reject an order.

Prevent international orders from being pushed to ShipComplaint - If this is on, all international orders will be handled through OrderPort fulfillment.

Many wineries will only have a ShipComplaint plan for certain states or will want to handle the compliance for those states themselves. Under the section, titled Prevent orders to the following states from getting pushed to ShipComplaint select the show all states button. Click the checkbox next to each state you would like to prevent from going to ShipComplaint.

The next part of the settings tab is to make sure your License Relationship by Customer Class Type matches your license type in Shipcomplaint for each order. You most likely will not need to change these.

Fulfillment

The Fulfillment Tab is where you decide your fulfillment settings for each location. All of your Inventory locations will be auto imported into this module. For each location, you will see their name and some information about them in OrderPort. If you wish to adjust any information in the first three columns this will be done in the inventory module.

The fourth column is the Fulfiller. You will need to decide whether you want to location to be fulfilled by your third party or in-house through OrderPort Fulfilment. Using the drop-down menu select who will fulfill these orders. Make sure to save your settings.

If you choose your Third-Party the Fulfill Mode drop-down will become available. There are two modes automatic and manual.

  • Automatic mode will send orders through ShipCompliant to your warehouse as soon as the order is paid for without any action on your part.
  • Manual mode will put orders into the OrderPort Fulfillment module where you will be prompted to push orders through manually to ShipComplaint. This option allows you to decide if you would like to Fulfill and order in-house instead of sending it to your warehouse.

Catalog

The main way that OrderPort and ShipComplaint communicate products is through product mapping. After setting up your products in shipcomplaint you will need to map them in OrderPort. Please note you need to map every product you want to send orders through ShipComplaint.

In OrderPort in the ShipComplaint Catalog section enter in the associated ShipCompliant Product Key.
